Fishing is very popular in Florida, but a public license is required. These are available at most fishing shops, at Walmart or online at https://gooutdoorsflorida.com/. One differentiates between daily, weekly or annual licenses and between fresh and salt water license or a combination. The license fees amount to from US $ 17 to 47 for example as a daily or annual license. For more information, visit https://myfwc.com/license/recreational/do-in-need-one. Even people who do not actively fish, but only help with getting lines or fishes in and out, or support with baiting work need a license. If you participate in a fishing charter you do not need a single license.
